Why might I go to a chiropractor?
Even though the first thing that may spring to mind is that ‘chiropractors treat backs’ – which we certainly do very successfully – today’s chiropractors also diagnose and treat other musculoskeletal disorders as well as a number of other conditions.
We support our treatment with advice about a patient’s work, diet, exercise and lifestyle for you to follow in the future.
We have seen patients from the age of two days old to 92 years old. Neither age nor previously diagnosed conditions limit your chance of receiving benefit from chiropractic care. Some people arrive with one or several symptoms while others want to improve their well being and receive preventative care.
Chiropractors treat problems involving the joints and muscles, including the back, neck and rib cage pain as well as the hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles and feet. We can help with posture and muscle problems, leg pain, sciatica and arthritis which, along with pain, may also have resulted in nerve irritation causing pins and needles, numbness, coldness or weakness in your arms and legs.
We also manage recovery from sports injuries with an emphasis on long-term stability.
Our chiropractors will aim to
Reassure you
Alleviate your distress by controlling your pain
Help you to prevent it happening so often
Restore you to normal activity
